Most people hear Heating, Ventilation & A/C a lot, but many don’t comprehend the term; Well, it stands for heating, ventilation plus air conditioner. Heating refers to a gas furnace, an electric furnace or even a boiler, but ventilation refers to air ducts plus filters. Air conditioning refers to just what it says. Your normal Heating, Ventilation & A/C method consists of an air handler, a heat pump, or condenser as some people call it, plus refrigeration tubing that connects it. The air handler contains heating plus cooling coils that are instrumental in generating hot or cold air that is then blown through the air duct in your cabin plus out through the air vents. I’m not an Heating, Ventilation & A/C provider, so I don’t pretend to guess exactly how the whole method works, but the basic system is that the condenser or heat pump either draws heat or cold from the air outside, plus that, along with the heating or cooling coils in the air handler, will generate the hot or cold air that provides your indoor air temperature control. It is kind of magical how an Heating, Ventilation & A/C component can create hot air from cold air in the Winter cold, plus cold air from hot air in the summer heat. I imagine everyone takes for granted the technological advances of the science behind the heater plus air conditioner. All most of us think is if our centralized air conditioner method fails, simply call our Heating, Ventilation & A/C business plus leave it up to that person to service it. But I think in our complex modern world, there must be more important things to be concerned with!
