I remember being asked by my partner if all of us should renovate our home before we try to sell it. While my partner has always been a man of empathy, he didn’t share my opinion on this. But he did want to do one thing. That’s when he told me about how he wanted to have radiant floor heating installed. I wasn’t sure what that actually was, so I asked him to elaborate, however he proceeded to gloat as he told me about how it works, starting with the installation of electric cables or tepid hot water pipes under the floor of the house… Between the cables or pipes would be a material that helps disperse heat, and allows the air to spread out evenly across the surface. It was an interesting good idea, however what would the floor look enjoy as a result? My partner than showed me an online catalog of vinyl and fake wood floors that will look sharp, however still allow the warm air to pass through. I admit, at this point I was willing to consider the choice as a heating system, although I didn’t understand how it was controlled, but my partner then ended his case for radiant heating by saying that the controls of it can be linked to a digital temperature control thermostat, or even programmed to turn on or off with the opening or closing of a door, however at that point I was sold! We were going to get radiant heating for our home, and enjoy it for a while before the 2 of us start trying to sell the house.
