Air cooling in our bungalow

Not that long ago, there was a time here in America when a guy could support a family as well as have a nice beach house with 1 income. These days my husband as well as I both work full time, yet still seem to always come up short on money! Back then, things were different, as well as the living wage was an honestly real thing. However my folks as well as I were never rich, but both of us had a nice house, plus every summer time both of us made the decision to go to the seasoned family bungalow out on the cape. Back then, stuff like that wasn’t reserved only for the super rich–working class folks could do it too. However i remember how much I appreciated that bungalow, because it had air conditioning–something our beach house didn’t have. Where both of us lived never got too super hot, usually, but also back then every single house didn’t just come with an a/c. Things like A/C as well as cable TV were not yet considered typical for every beach house in America. Then so for me, spending a couple weeks in this tiny little cabin was pure luxury, because they had an amazing air conditioning system that, within minutes, made the place feel like an icebox. Because it was a getaway, our folks wouldn’t be so hung up on “running up the electric bill” like they were at home; they let me run the A/C as much as I wanted. It wasn’t long after when Mom got a box A/C unit for our kitchen, which was nice. Though to me, it never entirely compared to the icy touch of the A/C in that bungalow.
