Living without a/c

I don’t want to show how old I am, but my formative childhood years were in the late 71s, when in numerous ways America was a totally different location than it is today, and my outdated man was a math professor for a middle school, and there is no way he could have been making that much money for himself. However, on a school professors salary he was able to support his partner plus son. While the two of us might not have owned a huge house, we did own a nice home, plus never wanted for entirely  much, however can you imagine a top notch school professor in America today being able to afford all of that? Not a chance! We actually did lack some amenities, however, appreciate air conditioning plus cable TV; A huge amount of my friends had parents who had started getting AC, or cable, plus I was getting pretty jealous, but I first started hanging out over at friends houses a lot more often, just because of the novelty of air conditioning, or the risque material of this modern channel called HBO. Where the two of us were living, it never got that humid, so the air conditioning actually was just a status symbol, it wasn’t that substantial. Where I am living now so deep in the south, A/C is not something that I can live without for more than a few days, but back then it actually just only a novelty. It does seem different to myself and others that 1 professor was able to afford so much back then, things such as A/C were a lot more hard to find. These days the two of us work harder plus make less, but pretty much almost everyone everywhere has both air conditioning and television.
