Yesterday my buddy and I had a truly tepid day. My dad woke up that afternoon yelling, and you can tell you needed to take him seriously. He yelled, “I am tired of not sleeping well and I need to get central air conditioning!” I was startled and I was just trying to enjoy a nice afternoon watching cartoons and coloring, but my Dad stood up then he yelled, “Do you know how much that would cost us?” By the sound of how he said that it seemed like it was truly upscale and maybe we couldn’t afford to have central air conditioning. I know my dad has slightly grumbled about it in the past and wanted to get a Heating and Air Conditioning tech to come to the home, but my Dad just played it off. At this point, I don’t think he truly can do that. After a few seconds, my dad calmed down and asked to look at the finances because his job truly depends on him sleeping well. He truly wanted to get central air conditioning, and having the windows open at night isn’t working for him anymore. My mom understood that but she was still a little tense due to my dad’s afternoon outrage. My dad then said, “Let’s at least get a quote from the Heating and Air Conditioning business to see where my buddy and I stand, is that ok?” My mom nodded in agreement to satisfy my dad’s needs for now. I’m still just upset to find out how everything is going to go down after they find out the cost is far too great for them, but then again it might not be and we all might have central air conditioning soon.
