I might be a little more free with the thermostat settings this Summer.
But then again, I don’t want to get all crazy with the air conditioning either.
Where we live, we are still in the midst of a beautiful Spring. The gas furnace is hardly ever coming on even late at night now. The temperatures are steadily rising and that makes me happy. For sure, the Winter weather is the main bugaboo when it comes to HVAC comfort. I do my best to keep a rein on the thermostat setting during the Winter. But that really wasn’t enough as the heating costs just kept getting steeper and steeper with every Winter. So I finally took the HVAC technicians advice and went online to the HVAC company’s website. It was there that I found everything that I needed to know when it came to prepping the house with an eye toward lowering the heating bills. But I’m not a very handy sort of person. Yes, I can change a light bulb and even the air filter for the HVAC equipment. But I was afraid that prepping the house for Winter might be more than my abilities could address. Happily, I was wrong because all I had to do was follow the blueprint provided by the HVAC professionals. And it really didn’t take me all that long to accomplish the task. I was done prepping the house before the HVAC professionals even came out to do the heating maintenance. Last week, I finally added it all up and we saved more than 20 percent over the entire Winter when it comes to heating costs. So maybe, I’ll be a little more free with the air conditioning come July and August.
