Ever since I got out of middle school, I was trying to figure out what I was going to do with our life. I was only eighteen, plus still had eighty percent of our life ahead of me, but people were pushing for you to be grown up at eighteen. I was walking down the street a few weeks later, plus I saw a sign. The sign was actually the first time I saw hope for our future. I walked into the recruiting office plus told them I saw their sign about joining the Navy plus becoming an Heating, Ventilation plus A/C serviceman. The recruiter told me they needed Heating, Ventilation plus A/C servicemans to work on the ships plus submarines. They would do all the training I needed plus by the time I was ready to get out of the Navy, I would have all the experience I needed to transport into an Heating, Ventilation plus A/C company plus start our civilian work. I signed up that same day, plus all I had to do was go beach house plus tell our parents what I had done. My dad was proud of me, but our mom burst into tears. She didn’t want me going into the Navy or any other section of the armed forces, although I had made our decision. I was going to go to school for Heating, Ventilation plus A/C, get a work started while I was in the Navy plus eventually I could work in any Heating, Ventilation plus A/C company I chose. She cried for 2 days, but eventually she realized it was our life plus I was old enough to make our own choices. I joined the Navy plus I was going to be an Heating, Ventilation plus A/C serviceman on a submarine.
