I’m resting here with a fan about a foot from myself and others trying to stay cool.
It is 90F outside without the humidity so I assume the feels-like temperature is close to 100F because it is legitimately humid out right now.
I remember last year being on the beach when the feels-like temperature was 116F. I came to a lake condo with about 10 blisters on my feet that afternoon from playing volleyball in the sand in the middle of the afternoon. The diner had some heating, ventilation and A/C cooling devices outside to keep people cool but it didn’t help the players on the court too much. I legitimately miss playing at that location because the people I was with and I always had an audience watching to help amp up the play of the game. The bar inside had air conditioning plus ice freezing beers plus the people I was with and I would all go in there plus hang out after the games. I’ve had the most fun plus the best memories over the past 30 years of playing the sport plus have made some wonderful friends over the years too. So this week, I am going to labor on the small mini split cooling system in my office because the vent from the main component in my own room legitimately doesn’t cool it down enough here. I assume the small portable component is still wonderful, however I need to disinfect it plus test it out to make sure it still works then fire it up plus see what it can do. I am resting this month because last night I played ball till 9pm plus I am pretty sore.
