Problems with AC are caused by leaky air duct

Last summer, I had a lot of complaints about the operation of the a/c.

  • It seemed to run just about non stop plus yet the home felt slightly hot, but certain rooms were especially hot plus sticky.

The air coming from the vents had a musty smell, plus there was an excessive amount of dust plus allergens circulating in the air, then my daily daily bills were much higher than normal. When I observed that my kids started to sneeze every time the a/c ran plus realized that I was always suffering from headaches, I tied up professional repair. The worker diagnosed the inner laborings of the AC plus found no problems. I am conscientious about replacing air filters plus arranging seasonal repair for the cooling unit. The worker then diagnosed the air duct plus discovered that approximately twenty percent of the cooled air was leaking out through holes plus gaps at the seams. She explained that these flaws in the air duct were also drawing in contaminants plus spreading them throughout the house, and because the maximum amount of cooled air wasn’t reaching the intended destination, the a/c was forced to work harder plus longer. The worker commanded duct sealing. I was a bit sad that the service would require splitting holes in walls plus ceilings to access the concealed pipes. However, the worker used a process called Aeroseal that fixes air duct imperfections from the inside. It involves sending highly pressurized air laced with polymer particles into the duct system. These particles are adhesive plus stick to edges of the more than 2 holes as the air escapes. They steadily build up to form a slender seal.
