Even though it dropped to 20° last night, it was too hot to fall asleep.
I spent half of the night pulling the blankets off our legs and the rest of the night just throwing them on the floor.
I felt so tired and sleepy after finally working 12 hours that all I wanted to do was go to my house and get some sleep. I didn’t spend our money attention to how sizzling our home was, and now I wish I did. I kept hearing the furnace running, but I thought some of that was in our dreams. When I finally got out of bed, it was 79° our living room, and even warmer in the back living area. The furnace had to been running all night long, nonstop. I knew I had to call a Heating and Air Conditioning repair supplier, but I also knew that I only had a half an hour until I had to go to work. I called our neighbor and asked her if I called the Heating and Air Conditioning biz, which she please come over when she saw the repair van pull into our drive? She asked me to just supply her the time when the Heating and Air Conditioning specialist would get there, and she would ecstatically come over to the house. I called the Heating and Air Conditioning supplier, and was informed they could send someone between 12 and 3 PM. I walked over to our neighbor’s beachside house and handed her the key to our house. The way the temperatures are going up our house, I honestly hope the Heating and Air Conditioning team shows up and repairs our furnace before I get home. I don’t want to handle another sleepless night.
