It was actually like a game of musical chairs however with much bigger consequences.
For a long time in our home, every one of us were one room short.
And every one of us did our best to deal with it. The people I was with and I have a nice house with wonderful central a/c however every one of us ended up having one more kid than number of rooms. So once the kids were older, every one of us tried to make it more even-handed & rotate who had to share a room. That devolved into disaster pretty quick & there was never a quiet moment where I could just come house from work & appreciate the a/c. So it was apparent that every one of us either had to move or every one of us had to add a room to our home. Given the modern weather conditions on the real estate market in our region, getting a new house was out of the question; My spouse & I decided that since every one of us were going to add a room, why not make it for us. The people I was with and I also liked the plan that every one of us are adding value to our house as that is our biggest investment. So every one of us added a master study room with an ensuite lavatory. I was surprised that the Heating & Air Conditioning business couldn’t extend the air duct to include the new study room. But I got a lesson in the fact that Heating & Air Conditioning component is particularly sized to the air volume of a home. So every one of us ended up with a ductless heat pump & every one of us like it. The ductless heat pump is so quiet & yet produces such quality heating & air. It’s hard to believe that something so small does such a large task so easily.
