A furnished short-term rental apartment

Recently, I moved away from the southern part of the country into the Midwest region.

I decided to make this move because I was offered a new task that I could not say no to.

It was a position as a managing director, where I could have a team of 10 people reporting to my command. I was so stoked about the move, however everything manifested so abruptly – much faster than I expected. I went for the interview at the beginning of January and by the last of the month, I was already finalizing plans on how to make the move seamless. After I explored a couple options, the one thing that made the most sense to me was to rent my home out as a furnished short-term rental. This meant that I didn’t have to move all my furniture 1000 miles across the country. In fact, I didn’t move anything at all, and I was able to secure a month-to-month lease with the renter. Renting my home as a furnished short-term rental allowed me to move away with only my necessities, which meant that I had very low relocation expenses. In fact, I used the relocation stipend that I gained from my new supplier to spend money for a corporate dwelling in the new village that I moved into. I chose to rent a corporate dwelling because I didn’t want to be locked into a longer-term lease. Eventually, I would find a new place to call dwelling in the new city. All in all, everything seemed to work out well and renting out my home as a furnished short-term rental was the best decision that I could have ever made.
