No, I was not disappointed with Brian himself.
He did the best he could. I was disappointed that the gym that the match was held in was so hot. Everyone notice the heat as soon as they entered the gym and a few parents complained about it. Evidently, the air conditioner was having some issues and it had not worked for months now. I think that the wrestling match should have been canceled or postponed or move to a different school. I mean, they knew there was no air conditioning long before the match was held. No one asked my opinion, however, and the game went on as scheduled. Of course, Brian was hot and so are all of his teammates. They were used to wrestling in an air-conditioned gym. The home team, however, had been using their gym without an air conditioner for a few months and I think this gave them an unfair advantage. They were more used to the heat. The home wrestling team ended up winning the matches. Brian was upset and so was I. This is almost a form of cheating on the part of the home team and it should not be tolerated. I think that all school gyms should have to keep their air conditioner is working well or forfeit the game. I told the coach this much before we left but he just shrugged. Poor Brian, when we got home he just crashed in front of the air conditioner. He was so hot and disappointed.
