I have been living the deep south for multiple years now however I am going to be moving up north.
While in the south, I have earned a pet iguana. I have had Iggy for about 6 years now & I see him as part of my family. He enjoys to go out on the screened in porch & sun bath. That is why my buddy and I installed a petgy door so he can go sunbathe whenever he wants. He is safe from predators because the porch is completely screened in. I also don’t worry about him escaping. So I was really cheerful when I found a apartment to buy up north that also has a screened in porch. I thought it would be perfect for Iggy; Recently I remembered that it is a lot colder in the north than it is in the deep south. Iggy is not going to be comfortable out in his porch without a heat source for much of the year. That is why I am looking into getting some sort of heating installed in the porch. I haven’t decided what direction I am going to go yet. I was looking into underfloor heating because it will be an even, constant heat but Iggy doesn’t like to spend a lot of time on the floor. I am also looking at large radiant heaters. I could get clean plastic to cover the sides of the porch & then hang the radiant heaters from the ceiling, and of course, I need to make sure that the heat source is sufficient & that it is safe.
