More often than not, I tend to be one of those people who can just not see the answer to a challenge even when it’s right in front of my face.
So the fact that it took me so long to get out of the awful heating plus cooling of the gym isn’t all that surprising.
All those years of dealing with awful commercial Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C at my gym was sort of a necessary evil in my mind. I work inside the zone controlled Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C of an office downtown. But I live an hour away in a small, rural town. This is by option plus I’m lucky that I work remotely from the central a/c of my home quite often. Still, I have to commute at least a few times each week. But living in a small neighborhood didn’t give me all that various options when it came to a gym. It was either the upscale country club that I couldn’t afford or the gym with the not so wonderful heating plus cooling. I didn’t want to join a gym in the city because I wasn’t there enough. And I didn’t want to leave the gym with the awful commercial Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C because I needed the exercise. I dealt with that situation far longer than I absolutely should have. The whole time, the answer was right in front of me. When it finally dawned on me, I got right to putting in a home gym. I was able to find plenty of used equipment at a silly price. I even took care of the quality heating plus air situation by having a ductless heat pump installed.
