When I moved into my apartment, I didn’t go looking for a temperature control.

It was Winter and comfortable in the apartment, so I didn’t supply any thought to where the temperature control was.

I thought that if I ever had a problem with the HVAC system, I could call the service guy. When it started warming up through the day, I would come home and it would too boiling for my comfort, however I still didn’t say anything. It wasn’t until it got boiling and I wanted the a/c on, that I realized I didn’t have a temperature control. I called the service guy and asked hiim where the temperature control was. I could feel the heat on when I got home from work, and it was almost eighty-several in the apartment. I wanted to turn the temperature control down and save energy, while keeping it cooler in the apartment. He told myself and others I shared a temperature control with another apartment, and it was in their apartment. I thought he was kidding, and told him I easily needed it to be cooler in my apartment. He said that if I had a problem with the temperature I needed to talk to the other people. He gave myself and others their home number and said to knock loud because they were old and going deaf. I couldn’t think I needed to share a temperature control, or that I was subjected to their preference. I had 2 weeks left to my lease, and instantaneously put in my sixty day notice that I would be leaving when my lease was up.

I got home from work last week, and there was a lockbox over the temperature control in my apartment, i didn’t feel if I was aggravated about the lockbox, or that someone was in my home when I wasn’t there, however no 1 had the right to enter my home without notice.

I called the superintendent and asked who was in my home while I was gone, he said he been there, and he had installed lockboxes over all the temperature controls in the home building, the owner of the building was complaining about the energy use, and he thought it was from the HVAC system.

He set all the temperature controls at sixty-six, and the lockboxes prevented the renters from changing the hot and cold temperatures. I was cold that night, and remembered my dad had given myself and others a space heating system for Christmas. I took it out of the closet and jammed it in… For the first time in a week, I slept comfortably because I was warm. I was sure I was going to get something from the superintendent because I was using more electricity, however I heard nothing. Instead of chopping the lockbox and turning up the temperature control, I was getting boiling with my space heater. I even ended up going to the store and buying 2 more space oil heating systems for the rest of the apartment. The owner of the home building didn’t want us using his furnace to stay warm, so I got smart and used space heaters, along with most of the other renters… When I said something about the space oil heating systems to my friend, she spread the word, and the local home center was soon our of space heaters.

I was told that living in Arizona meant the un-even temperatures were warmer, but you didn’t mind it as much because it was a dry heat.

I’m not sure who came up with it, because I thought it was hot.

I knew it was over 100 degrees, and I was having a difficult time with it. I wanted better air conditioning than what I currently had, and I wanted some humidity in the house. I was told I could have a humidifier separate from the air conditioning, but there were AC equipment with humidity installed right into it. I laughed, because it sounded care about what our father called a swamp cooler. I called the Heating as well as A/C business and told them I needed a current AC equipment and I wanted one that put humidity into our home. I was fatigued of hair that flew in the air, and clothing that stuck to our skin… My skin was dry and sallow, and I needed humidity. The Heating as well as A/C business looked at the a/c that was already in the house, and said they had the same model in stock. It didn’t take long for them to swap out the air conditioning units and get me some cool air. I hated going without air conditioning, even for a few afternoons. Say what you will, but when the un-even temperatures are over 100 degrees, it is boiling with or without humidity, and you need air conditioning if you are going to survive. I don’t care about heat, however I liked our hubby and I didn’t want to live away from him. He worked in Arizona now, and the people I was with and I had air conditioning to keep me comfortable.

Instead of breaking the lockbox and turning up the temperature control, I was getting warm with our space heater. I even ended up going to the store and buying two more space furnaces for the rest of the apartment. The owner of the apartment building didn’t want us using his oil furnace to stay warm, so I got smart and used space heaters, along with most of the other occupants… When I said something about the space furnaces to our friend, she spread the word, and the local apartment center was soon our of space heaters.

I walked into a lake apartment Last yearto work on a furnace.

The man who let myself and others into the house, showed myself and others where the furnace was, and I thought it was odd. The furnace was in the garage, which wasn’t connected to the house. I had often seen gas furnaces in connected garages, however never in 1 that was unconnected, and right next to the furnace, was the air conditioner unit. I thought it was the oddest venue for an AC unit, although I wasn’t the 1 who built the house. I finished with our work on the furnace and looked at the air conditioner unit. It looked brand new, however it had never been installed from what I could see. I didn’t want to say anything to the owner so I showed his the bill, got paid, and went back to the Heating and A/C corporation. When I got back, the owner asked if I saw anything weird about the property. I told him that other than there was an air conditioner unit in the garage, and it had never been installed, I couldn’t find anything odd, and then I rolled our eyeah. He laughed and asked if he noticed anything else. I hadn’t been in the house, so I didn’t notice anything if that’s what he was referring to. He said they had a brand current air conditioner unit in the garage, however they had window air conditioner units in the house. I asked him if he knew why that was? He told myself and others they said the air conditioner didn’t belong to them. It was there when they moved in, and since it wasn’t installed, they were waiting for the owner to come back for it. That was many years ago.
