I hate going to the dealership to have work performed on my truck.

The dealership always performs excellent repairs, but they also reset my tuner every time I take the truck to see them.

I don’t know why they reset the tuner. I know it’s not necessary for them to do the work on the truck. It might have something to do with emissions, but either way it is a huge pain in the butt when I have to reprogram my vehicle every time I need something repaired. When I needed to have some work on the suspension and the brakes, I consulted with an automotive performance shop first. I didn’t want to take my car to the dealership again if it wasn’t absolutely necessary. I spoke with several people and found that the best custom automotive shop was on the west side of town. Everyone seemed to recommend the same person when I asked around for the name of the best custom automation dealer in the area. I made an appointment to see the owner of the best custom automotive shop on saturday. I explained to the guy exactly what was happening with my vehicle. He seemed to understand what the trouble was and he felt that he could fix the problem easily. He asked me to give him a couple of hours with the truck later that afternoon. He had an oil change and a brake job already that morning, but he was certain that he would be able to get to my truck in the afternoon. The custom performance shop ended up charging me a lot less than the dealer auto body shop and they didn’t reset my tuner.

I am sure most homeowners wished that their roofs would last a lifetime.

Unfortunately, that’s not the case because the materials used in roofs will deteriorate over time.

So, eventually, a homeowner will need to replace the roof on their homes. My dad had his roof repaired a couple years ago, so this means he shouldn’t have to worry about his roof again for another 20 or so years. While it’s almost inevitable to avoid any kind of roofing repairs, it’s best to have a professional roofing company inspect your roof twice per year. Yearly inspections could identify minor problems before they become a major issue. Furthermore, an inspection could potentially spare a homeowner from paying extra money for those repairs. I have had my roof professionally inspected one time and thankfully, no damages were identified. That was a few years ago, so I need to schedule another inspection and perhaps increase those inspections to one per year. After all, my house is almost 20 years old, and the roof is made from shingles.

There are so many different types of sponges for house cleaning that you may not even realize there’s a better one you can use.

Rubber sponges are dry sponges made from rubber mixtures. Water and moisture cannot be tolerated by them. Clean soot from surfaces after a fire, such as fireplace mantels, screens, bricks, curtains, and carpet, and remove pet hair from clothing and furniture. You can also use these sponges to clean fabric window coverings and wallpaper. Once the side of a dry sponge has been completely covered with dirt, soot, or animal hair, you simply slice it off and you have a new side to clean with.

Mom and I were travelling back from visiting family.

• We were looking for a hotel to spend the night when we saw the sign, ‘Honey for Sale’, and followed it.

We drove nearly forty miles out of the way and took so many turns, I was sure we were lost. Mom was hoping the honey was cheaper here than where we lived, and she wanted to take some home to dad. When we finally got to the honey stand, the man was closing up and said he was out of honey. I rolled my eyes and mom said she saw the honey in the wagon and wanted to buy some. She told him how we had followed the signs and were now lost. The least he could do was sell her some honey to take back home with us. The man was nice enough to smile and nod. He sold mom four quarts of honey and several honey sticks. He also threw in some candy that was made of honey and a honey cake. He said he couldn’t save it for the next day. As he was getting ready to leave, I asked what was the quickest way to get back to the interstate. All we had to do was drive down the road we were on for twenty miles, and we would be back on the interstate about thirty miles beyond where we got off. We got back to the interstate in the same area we wanted to stop for dinner and get some rest. Mom wasn’t hungry because while I was driving, she ate all the honey cake the man had given her.

I work at a pilates studio that is in the same building as a brand new micro brewery that is currently undergoing construction.

I’m excited for the brewery to open, but man has the construction process with them been a nightmare.

Every few weeks they do something unexpected that impacts us and shifts the way we run classes and have clients throughout the day. This last nightmare had chemical fumes leaking into our studio, and I really feel like our air filtration was the only thing that saved us. The air conditioner ran on high to combat those fumes. I’m not sure the extent of how an air filter would stand up against fumes like that, but I do feel like the smell would have been worse and more nauseating if we hadn’t had them. I’m so thankful that we just had an appointment with the air conditioning company who replaced all of our air filters for us. The filters are located too far up into the ceiling for us to get to on an average ladder. The air filters were likely able to filter the more dense molecules that made up the chemical fume, and I think the small molecules are the ones that got through and caused the nauseating smell. I’m not sure if there is a particular air purification system that would filter something like that, but apparently I may need to look into it if the construction is going to keep this up. I would hope that they would have a little consideration and give us a heads up considering we are going to be neighbors soon.
