There was no air conditioning in my cousin’s basement when we had to stay there last week… My unbelievable friend and I went down so that we could go to a anniversary in the family and we didn’t want to pay a fortune at a local hotel.

My cousin told us that we could stay at her apartment in the basement for the week and I told her that would be fine, it was basically a unbelievable setup for us since there were enough cots and mattresses down there in their finished basement for all six of us in my family. I started to wonder if I had made a poor mistake, though, whenever the weather started heating up outside. I noticed that there did not seem to be any air conditioning vents down there in the basement, however I thought that I must just be overlooking them! However, whenever I asked my cousin about it, she confirmed that there wasn’t any ductwork in the basement at all, and they had never planned on having people stay down in their basement and so when they built the house, they had saved quite a bit of money by leaving out the ductwork that would have been used for a ventilation system down in the basement. I mean, I know it makes sense that they would not have a ventilation system in the basement, however it would have made the week a whole lot more comfortable for us if we had had some air conditioning down there. Next time we stay with her, we will take a portable air conditioning unit.

April has been windy and wet and muddy and stormy throughout just about the entire month.

It’s also been uncharacteristically freezing for this time of year, which has kept me indoors quite a lot.

It wasn’t quite sizzling enough to be using the heater heavily, but I sure was blissful that I had heat and a sizzling and dry apartment as I gazed out and all the wind and rain. But now, in the last monthof April, my superb friend and I have suddenly been hit with a abrupt and drastic increase in rapidly changing temperatures. It caused me to finally switch my air conditioning system on, and I found to my dismay, that it was not laboring very well at all. The airflow was very weak and that got me quite worried. I did not quite want to have to call out an Heating & A/C specialist immediately, so I got to looking for some possible reasons why I might be getting such weak air flow. I finally got around checking the condenser unit outside, and I found my culprit. The condenser unit was caked with mud and debris and it was no wonder that my a/c was having serious problems. I immediately got to toil hosing and scrubbing the poor thing off. I crossed my fingers as I once again tried to get the a/c running, and thankfully, the air flow and coolness was significantly better this time, and still, I knew that I would have to call out an Heating & A/C specialist soon! I shall have to keep an eye on my condenser unit for now on.

Last summer, I had a lot of complaints about the operation of the a/c.

It seemed to run just about non stop plus yet the condo felt slightly hot! Certain rooms were especially tepid plus sticky. I was a bit sad that the service would require splitting holes in walls plus ceilings to access the concealed pipes. However, the supplier used a process called Aeroseal that fixes ductwork imperfections from the inside. It involves sending highly pressurized air laced with polymer particles into the duct system. These particles are adhesive plus stick to edges of the various holes as the air escapes. They steadily build up to form a slim seal.

Yesterday, my partner and I decided to take the train to a neighborhood about 45 minutes away from where my great friend and I live. The idea was to take a leisurely walk among the trees and care about the vibrant flowers that are start to blossom. Just after I woke up in the morning, I poked my head out of the window, I relished the cool air on my skin, and thought I was going to have a great morning for walking. But I was mistaken; as my great friend and I were start to enter the forest, the weather suddenly turned scratching hot, and my great friend and I had to rest in the shade under a sizable oak tree. I pulled out my PC and searched for a cafe with a/c. The unseasonable heat took us completely by surprise, and a Plan B was needed. After cooling down in the shade, my great friend and I managed to stumble to the cafe. The air inside felt like a breath of fresh air, thanks to the efficient HVAC system installed in the site. My pal and I ordered iced-coffee and sat back, just enjoying the great background jazz music and the soothing coolness of the a/c, which was providing a much-needed respite from the sweltering heat outside. To be honest, my great friend and I were pretty sleepy anyway, so it was a great excuse for us to rest and do nothing at all!

It was a sizzling morning when I started my current language course, and as soon as I entered the room, I observed that the air was thick and stuffy.

• Feeling the weight of the heat already important down on me as I sat down on my desk, I could feel the sweat forming on my forehead and in my armpits.

I just could not understand why the windows weren’t open. I tried to focus on the lesson, although I kept thinking of the heat and whether I should tell the instructor; My shyness, however, held me back, and I continued to try and focus on the lesson while longing for a blissful breeze to supply relief. However, I could feel my energy draining away and knew I had to do something about it soon. I raised my hand and asked the instructor if he could turn on the cooling system. The instructor said the school could not afford an HVAC system and advocated I bring in a fan from home. I could not help however guess about the importance of quality HVAC systems in public classrooms because comfort is needed for the student to perform acceptablely. That’s when I began to morningdream about all classrooms having zoned HVAC systems with temperature controls in every seat. Finally, the bell rang, and I suddenly stumbled out of the building to breathe in fresh air. I made a mental note to request a/c from the course provider and to bring my mini USB fan next time I have to endure that dreadful classroom.
