After being away for 2 years, he was finally coming home.

• He had no method how much every one of us all missed him, but I missed him most.

He was my twin sibling, and I was used to spending time with him every morning, but calling on the phone, or talking over the internet, wasn’t the same. When he showed up, he had a neighbor with him. He asked mom to put them in the warmest room in the house. Their winters weren’t much cooler than our summers. It was 91 when he got off the plane, and he felt like he was stepping into a freezer, then even with air conditioning, the temperature does not go below 71 in their huts. I was sure sixty-eight was cold. I got a space gas furnace and put it in the den where he and Moe were going to be sleeping. I asked him why he brought his neighbor home. He said he didn’t have somewhere to go. He was on his own, which is why he joined the Marines. I had a feeling there was more to it than that, but Bill was chilly. I turned on the space gas furnace and turned up the thermostat to help them get warm, later that evening, I thought I was going to suffocate when I walked into the den, but my sibling and Moe were drinking a budweiser and enjoying the warmth, but bill told me Moe was the neighbor who used to whistle whenever he saw me on screen, and couldn’t wait to come loft and meet me, and once they both got more used to the cold and snow, every one of us were all going to go skiing.

Two weeks ago, I called the Heating, Ventilation & A/C dealer… I knew I needed to get some help with my oil furnace, but I wasn’t sure how much it was going to cost; The Heating, Ventilation & A/C serviceman came to the beach house and gave me an quote about how much it would cost if I needed a new oil furnace, and a single for if it was just a repair. I thought the price he gave me was a little over inflated to account for anything he had forgotten, so I let it go. I liked the quote for repairs much better. When the Heating, Ventilation & A/C serviceman arrived 2 weeks later, he told me I was going to need a new oil furnace. I grimaced when I looked at the estimate, and swallowed hard. I wasn’t sure how I was going to pay the price, but I couldn’t go through the Winter separate from a oil furnace. I told him to do the work, and every one of us would take care of the payment when it was done; A month later, the quote became a bill and it was almost 20% higher. I asked if he was sure that was the right price? He told me he double checked the numbers and it was right. I asked him what happened to the over inflated quote he gave me 2 weeks earlier, but he told me that was just an quote and not a quote. If I wanted a quote, I should have asked for a single. He showed me everything that was peculiar between the bill and the estimate, and asked if I needed help paying.

I may do just two more articles and then take a nap because my eyelids are starting to get heavy and my brain is slowing down some.

I haven’t been sleeping well lately and usually it is because my heart is trying to tell me something is off in my life.

I think I need to push myself more with my passion pursuit and not be so lazy, it’s almost as if I have given up on life and at 55 years old that is not an option. I just got burned a few times, and not by my fireplace, but by friends and money. I think I took it too hard and let it bring me down, but now it is time to rise out of the ashes and become that Phoenix that I know I have inside of me. My ductwork cleaning job each week isn’t cutting it and my heart is trying to whisper to me at night, keeping me awake many nights in the process. I thought that is what I wanted in life when I started; a good job to earn money so I can live a good life. But there is more to life than just helping people with their air quality by doing duct cleaning and repairs. I am going to make a shift in my life and see how much gas I have left in the tank to make my dreams come true. I think the HVAC industry will be there for me if I need to come back to the HVAC repairs and servicing, but for now it is going to be chasing your dreams for me.

I can feel I didn’t sleep very well last night and I think it was because I was too cold in my bed the whole night.

The heater repair I have to do is for my own HVAC system because it stopped working on me a few weeks ago and last night was a sub zero night outside.

I think my flat was like 45F this morning when I came out for my coffee, and even the cats were a bit cold as they were really huddled close together this morning when I came out. I covered them with an afghan and went to the local business to get some parts for my central heating system. I think I have everything I need to fix the unit so all I need to do is get moving on it and finish the job. I think I will sleep a lot better tonight if I get the electric furnace working again before I go to sleep. Tomorrow I am going out of town to do a music gig in a nearby city and hopefully get back on track with my passion pursuit. I can also call my HVAC expert friend to come help me fix the HVAC unit, which is probably a good idea because she is better at fixing furnaces than I am. My expertise is more in sales than in repairs so I am not afraid to ask for help now and then. I think we can get the job done in a couple of hours if we work together.

It is very cold in my town now and the streets are basically empty.

Last night I was talking to this guy walking around with some people and it turns out he is in a band that is pretty well known; called Sunstroke Project. I’ve never heard of them but I looked them up today and they have some notoriety. It’s pretty funny I met them last night when they were basically the only ones walking around the streets except for some dog walkers. It kind of inspired me to go for it with my music too. Heat pump maintenance has taken up most of my time for the past few years but now it is time to put that on the backburner and get moving forward with the music. I will still work for the local service provider but I want to put more time and energy into my music and get something going with it. I’m 55 years old and I don’t have a lot of good years left, so I need to put some fire under my butt and get to work. The local contractor will keep me employed but I need to lean in the direction of my dreams a bit harder to give them a chance to grow. I’ve only played drums for a couple of years and still have trouble singing and playing drums, but I have to give it a shot and push myself in front of the bigger crowds. The home services company will always be there for me while I’m pursuing my music thing.
