The small cottage in the woods boasted a very efficient electric heating system. Having a heater was one of the key things when we looked for a secluded Airbnb. The other thing was that the boiler had to have regular heater maintenance. Having an annual HVAC service plan was the least requirement for ac care, though twice was preferred. This is because we took excellent care of our furnace/heater installation to avoid any costly heating repair. We also changed our furnace filter five times a year to maintain high indoor air quality because we had pets. I still remember when we made up our mind to install heated floors, our main inspiration was to try and keep our dog off the living room rug. It helped and was an even better heating system, but we removed the rug. The heating dealership had given us some heat and AC products to choose from, but we were convinced that was the best the heating industry had to offer. The HVAC tech had to come and take our home measurements so that he could determine the size of the unit to be installed and also so that he could give us the accurate cost of the whole installation process. Even without the internet, we enjoyed our stay at the cottage. We got to do more outdoor activities and bond more. We even made a new rule that there were no using phones during our evenings together unless it was an emergency.
