I had been struggling to keep my bedroom warm during the evenings. I had adjusted the thermostat several times and the rest of my house was responding to the temperature changes that were made. However, my bedroom wasn’t getting any warmer. I wanted to eliminate the thought that my mind was playing tricks on me because I thought the bedroom was colder, so I purchased an outdoor thermostat and placed it in my room. After an hour had passed, I looked at the thermostat and my assumption was confirmed. My bedroom was seven degrees cooler than the rest of my house and I didn’t know why. I didn’t think there was anything I could do to fix the temperature difference, so I hired an HVAC professional to come assess the situation. He tuned my furnace and gave me a positive report. According to him, he believed that the only reason my bedroom wasn’t being heated properly was because the thermostat isn’t getting an accurate reading of the space. When I asked him how I could fix the problem, he suggested that I install a thermostat sensor. Since I already had a smart thermostat, the thermostat sensor would digitally coordinate with the thermostat and give it a more accurate reading. I found the thermostat sensors online and installed one in my bedroom right away. I wasn’t expecting it to work, but I was pleasantly surprised when it did! I’m so glad it was as simple as buying a thermostat sensor and installing it in my bedroom. It was easy and affordable.
