For 2 weeks, I had to hang my head when I got home, & sigh quite loudly before my partner asked me what was wrong. She had observed how I was acting, although she was hoping I would get over it. I told her I was sleepy of being an Heating, Ventilation, & A/C worker & I wanted a change. She said she thought I loved being an Heating, Ventilation, & A/C worker. Ever since she met me, that was all I talked about doing. I had been an Heating, Ventilation, & A/C tech for more than nine years, but I knew it was time for a change… All of us sat down over supper & she started asking me questions. She wanted to think what I wanted to do. I told her I didn’t want to be just an Heating, Ventilation, & A/C worker anymore. The owner of the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C corporation was getting ready to retire, & he was selling the corporation. All of us all had the chance to stay with the corporation when it sold, but I didn’t just want to stay there. I wanted to put in a estimate for the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C corporation. She asked if I thought both of us had enough money in the bank to make an legitimate bid. I couldn’t afford to buy it outright, but I was sure the bank would supply me the money. I had already talked to them. She told me if that was what I wanted to do, she would help me although she could. I didn’t even have to whine to get her to agree. The Heating, Ventilation, & A/C corporation owner liked that I worked for him & was offering to buy it. He even helped me with the paperwork for the bank & said he would work there for three months & help me to learn the business.
