Does our HVAC machine have a warranty?

If you have a new HVAC unit, possibilities are, it is covered under a manufacturer warranty.

The limited warranty usually covers standard parts of the machine for 5 to 10 years, plus it requires that the homeowner register the component after it was purchased, but some manufacturers wouldhonor a warranty if the cabin transferred ownership while in the warranty period.

Each HVAC manufacturer offers different limited warranties plus most of them cover complications with the compressor. Typically, the warranty will cover any malfunctions that weren’t caused by human error, everyday wear plus tear or complications created by human neglect. In the first few years, it’s not often that an HVAC machine will split down, then with proper care plus repair, most breakdowns can be avoided. And this is why it’s consistently important to get HVAC units maintained every year by a licensed contractor. I have been using our contractor for about 5 years now plus she was the woman who installed our HVAC machine when I purchased it. At the time of replacement, she also offered a limited warranty that covered any complications that came up due to the replacement. Thankfully, the HVAC replacement went well plus after all these years, I have not yet used any of the warranties that I acquired. My warranty will expire in about 5 years plus prior to that happening, I might consider getting a repair agreement with our HVAC provider. However, it all depends on if our machine begins to malfunction frequently. I am so grateful that I have not had any complications to date plus I am hoping that in a few years, if anything does come up, that the resting warranty will cover the cost.
