I’ve been laboring as a heating & air conditioning contractor for 10 years now & I have seen all kinds of interesting situations with people’s heating & cooling systems.
Most of the jobs that I go on are uneventful & I do not see anything that is particularly unusual, however every now & again I will find that there are people that go & they try to repair their own heating & air conditioning system.
I can understand why some people would be pushed to try to do this themselves, some people do not have the money to have their heating & air conditioning system repaired, however of course they want Heating & cooling because all the people do not want to go without heat in the Winter time or cool air in the summer. So they guess that they can try to maintenance it themselves. They guess that people that are heating & A/C workers are going to tell them not to just because the Heating & A/C corporation would lose money. While this might be tploy to a degree, it is also a fact that trying to repair your own Heating in the cooling system without knowing what you are doing can be easily dangerous & lead to some extreme consequences. If you do something wrong or screw up you could easily well accidentally electrocute yourself. If you do not do that, you could mangle your Heating & A/C system to a state that has much worse than it was before. Then that high-priced repair is going to be even more high-priced, however you can turn a $100 repair into a $1,000 repair. I guess that is not what all the people want to hear however it’s a easy fact. I would suggest you stick with the heating & cooling professionals, not only for your own safety however for the safety of your Heating & A/C system too.
