When I first thought about opening my business, the easy thing was knowing the type of business it would be, an HVAC business.
HVAC equipment had become a part of my life that I loved.
Being a trained and qualified cooling technician, I worked with cooling equipment every day. The business started as a cooling system provider. We stocked equipment such as an electric heat pump which had quickly become a favorite among homeowners. Within about six months of working at the store, I noticed that a lot of property owners preferred the heat pump to help with indoor comfort. Later I employed a couple of cooling specialists to help with other services such as the HVAC installations as well as executing the regular quality AC service on different systems. After three years of operating a small-scale business, my investors and I decided it was time to turn this small business into a recognized cooling corporation. We wanted to be known for more than just being the local service provider. To achieve this, we needed to put in our request to the industry regulators to obtain the necessary licensing. To get the license there are a few criteria we need to meet like integrating the latest cooling technology in our systems as well as our processes. The climate control devices we had needed to be the new ones including the digital and wifi thermostats. We also trained more HVAC contractors and they received their certifications. On our fourth anniversary, we received mail with all the necessary licenses that would put our business in a top position. We were now a fully licensed company. It was the beginning of our forever.
