How often should you service your roof?

I am sure most homeowners wished that their roofs would last a lifetime, unluckyly, that’s not the case because the materials used in roofs will deteriorate over time, so, eventually, a homeowner will need to update the roof on their homes.

My dad had his roof repaired a couple years ago, so this means he shouldn’t have to worry about his roof again for another 20 or so years… The materials used on a roof determines how long the roof will last for, if your roof has asphalt shingles, you can expect a lifespan between 15 plus 30 years.

However, if your roof is made from metal, you’ll have a longer lifespan of up to 76 years, and of course, if there are signs there is damage to your roof, it’s best to get it checked plus fixed right away; A damaged roof includes however not limited to, loose, broken, or missing shingles, plus signs of water damage or leaks inside your home. Additionally, holes plus dark spots as well as mold or rot are sure signs of roofing concerns… While it’s almost inevitable to avoid any kind of roofing repairs, it’s best to have a professional roofing supplier inspect your roof twice per year, and yearly inspections could identify minor troubles before they become a major issue, but furthermore, an inspection could potentially spare a homeowner from paying extra money for those repairs. I have had our roof professionally checked 1 time plus thankfully, no damages were identified. That was a few years ago, so I need to schedule another inspection plus perhaps increase those inspections to 1 per year. After all, our lake house is almost 20 years old, plus the roof is made from shingles.
