I asked my husband for a fireplace for Christmas this year and it was really all that I wanted. I have been wanting a fireplace for years now, but we have never lived in a house that was conducive to having a fireplace of any type. Then we moved into our new house that we are living in now. Well, the house was not new, but it was new to us. Anyway, this house does not have a fireplace in it either, but it actually would be easy to install one. That’s what the realtor told us when we purchased this house anyway. I asked my husband if we could get a fireplace installed in the house for Christmas this year and he just sighed and shook his head. I guess after 10 years of marriage, he is probably sick and tired of hearing me asking about fireplaces all the time. However, the reason that I keep asking for one is because I still haven’t gotten one yet. It is one of the dreams of my life to live in a house with a fireplace! Anyway, when I reminded him that I wanted a fireplace this year, he actually got to work on it right away. He ended up being able to do a lot of the work himself, because he is such a handy guy. He knows how to do a lot of things and the only thing that he ended up having to call the heating and cooling company for was to have them actually come and install the gas logs for the fireplace. Now, I’m proud to say that I am a happy owner of a gas log fireplace.It was the best Christmas present that I have ever received in my life!
