I don’t know what I’m gonna do about it, but there is a weird smell that keeps coming from our furnace and I can’t stand it anymore.
I kept thinking that it was going to just go away, but that has not been the case.
This smell has been showing up here and there around the house over the past couple of months and it has got to stop. I first started noticing it whenever we turned the furnace on for the first time this year when the weather started cooling off outside. We have pretty cold temperatures in the area where we live during the winter and so using the furnace this early on in the year is not really unusual. Anyway, when I first turned on the furnace for the first time this year, I smelled a terrible smell coming out of the heating vents. At first I thought it was just because we had not been using the furnace and it was the dust and debris that had accumulated on top of the heating unit during the summer burning off. But even after the first initial usage of the furnace, the awful smell persisted and kept permeating throughout our house through the heating vents. Not only that, but the smell seems to be getting worse and worse. I can’t stand this awful smell anymore, and so I guess tomorrow I’m gonna call up our local HVAC company and have them send an HVAC technician out to the house to check out the problem. I can’t deal with it anymore.
