Since I promised my grandma that I would help her get her house sold, I have been working at it like crazy. I had no idea that I was gonna have to do so much stuff for her, but I guess it’s the least I can do. She has always helped me out throughout my life whenever I have needed it. Anyway, she decided a few months ago that she wanted to move into this retirement village here in town and I have been doing my best to help make her dream come true. She loves this new retirement village and the grounds that they have there. She’s going to have her own garden and everything and she is excited about hanging out with her friends and having three meals a day in the cafeteria. However, we need to get her house sold, and that is turning out to be more of a problem than I ever thought that it was going to be. The realtor is telling me now that I need to get a brand new high efficiency heating and cooling system installed in the house before we can get it on the market. I guess my grandma’s old heating and cooling system is really outdated, and the realtor thinks that we won’t get a good offer on the house if we don’t replace it before we list it. I don’t know if that’s the case, and I guess that we should trust the realtor to make some good decisions for us. It just seems like a lot of work to have to replace the entire HVAC unit just to get the house on the market.
