I was having such a long day and the cold didn’t help the matter.
It had started snowing for a few hours then stopped.
I had multiple meetings that day and it was the same day, my laptop completely shut down with all my presentations. After the meetings, I decided to leave work early and walk home so I could release the stress, anxiety, and tension. It was cold but I needed the cold to dissipate the anger and stress I had. No sooner had I gotten three blocks from the office, when the heavens opened up and it started raining huge droplets. I knew of a coffee shop at the end of the block and so I walked to it as rain fell on me. I was welcomed by quality whole-home heating when I entered the coffee shop. It was practically empty. I went to the table near the gas fireplace, removed my coat, and hung it on the seat facing the fireplace. The warmth from the fireplace reduced the longing I had for the gas furnace at home. I had recently hired an HVAC repairman to do a comprehensive furnace/heater tune-up. This had left the entire ductwork plus the washable filter clean. The air quality at home after the duct cleaning was top-notch. The HVAC ducts stopped hissing and the system functioned well again. I commented on the warmth in the shop when the waiter came to take my order. She mentioned that they had just had the heating provider do a comprehensive home service on the system, a year after the boiler installation was done. The same heating corp that gave me the energy-saving help tips also did their installation. After a hot coffee and croissant, the bad day I had seemed like history.
