She didn’t want myself and others going into the Navy or any other section of the armed forces, although I had made my decision
Ever since I got out of high school, I was trying to figure out what I was going to do with my life. I was only eighteen, plus still had eighty percent of my life ahead of me, however people were pushing for you to be grown up at eighteen. I was walking down the street a few weeks later, plus I saw a sign. The sign was certainly the first time I saw hope for my future. I walked into the recruiting office plus told them I saw their sign about joining the Navy plus becoming an Heating plus A/C professional. The recruiter told myself and others they needed Heating plus A/C professionals to work on the ships plus submarines. They would do all the training I needed plus by the time I was ready to get out of the Navy, I would have all the experience I needed to transfer into an Heating plus A/C corporation plus start my civilian job. I signed up that same day, plus all I had to do was go home plus tell my parents what I had done. My dad was proud of me, however my mom burst into tears. She didn’t want myself and others going into the Navy or any other section of the armed forces, although I had made my decision. I was going to go to school for Heating plus A/C, get a job started while in the Navy plus eventually I could work in any Heating plus A/C corporation I chose. She cried for two afternoons, however eventually she realized it was my life plus I was old enough to make my own choices. I joined the Navy plus I was going to be an Heating plus A/C professional on a submarine.
