Next week I’m going to start my new job at a duct cleaning and carpet cleaning company.
I have been trying to get a job with this company for a while now, because I am planning on going back to school in the fall to get my HVAC certification.
There is a really great technical school just a few miles away from me and I’m going to enroll there so that I can go and learn all that I can about heating and cooling technology. In the meantime, I’m going to be learning all that I can about ductwork and ventilation and cleaning those things. I feel like that will be a big boost to me whenever I go to get my HVAC certification. Once I get that done, I will be able to get a job just about anywhere around here at a heating and cooling company. I am excited about my new career path and I wish that I could get started sooner. However, I just can’t get into the HVAC program until next semester. They are already completely full and they couldn’t fit anyone else into the class. I know this because I asked! I was hoping that they would give me special treatment or something, but they told me that there is no way that I can get in until the fall semester. So instead, I’m looking forward to working at this duct cleaning job so that I can at least get a little bit of experience in the realm of HVAC work. I’m really hoping that I can do more ductwork cleaning and less carpet cleaning once I get started!
