The last time I rented a condo there was a major issue with the central heating & cooling system.
- It worked, however it was genuinely weak & needed to be replaced.
I was not too cheerful with the landlord I had at the time because they were lazy as ever & took them 2 weeks to get the central heating & cooling system replaced! So in the meantime I was suffering with horrible air conditioning (it was summer). After a few nights of this I got so fed up I nearly called a lawyer & broke my lease to get out of there, however the landlord kept insisting that he was going to get a brand up-to-date & new central heating & cooling system installed into the house. In the meantime I decided to take some action on my end & went out to buy a portable cooling system. The portable cooling system cost me four hundred bucks! I made sure & told the landlord about it & he took that off my next month rent. The portable cooling system got me through the 2 weeks until finally a brand up-to-date & new central heating & cooling system was arriving & being installed. I have to say that I never had seen all that went into heat & air conditioning replacement before, so it was interesting to say the least. I still have that portable cooling system I obtained, & it occasionally comes in handy today.
