To say I was skeptical is to understate my feelings to as giant a degree as possible really.
When the real estate agent told us that our HVAC device needed to be upgraded, I wasn’t content.
The realtor was sort of startling and overly direct about all the stuff that needed to be done to our condo before he would list it. That got under my skin for sure because I thought it was less than respectful and not a great way to do business. However, that was a small part of my skepticism when it came to the heating and cooling device upgrade. I pushed back on the HVAC upgrade because I had invested so much HVAC maintenance into the current HVAC unit. It wasn’t quite 15 years outdated and had gotten heating maintenance in the fall and an air conditioner tune-up each Springtime. There was never a missed appointment in all those years thanks to the HVAC maintenance plan the people I was with and I signed up for the day after it was installed. So, I felt undoubtedly not great at all about trashing heating and cooling device that was clearly toiling remarkably well and had at least a decade of maintenance left. Fortunately, the corporation first realtor was a professional and undoubtedly nice at what he did. So, he came with data from comps in the area that proved his point. Still, I talked with the HVAC professionals to see if perhaps the HVAC component could be disconnectd and repurposed for someone who might need it. That’s what ended up happening so I felt much better when it came to getting the latest in residential HVAC to sell our house.
