It had been a rough week at school, my sinuses had started acting up and the constant sneezing from the dust sensitivities was not helping… The students and staff alike had noticed that the quality of air had decreased significantly. The high temperatures of Spring during the morning were causing our comfort. The headteacher gave us a free class after receiving confirmation from the air conditioner repairman that he was coming. The school repair department headed by Mr. Kalwik had contacted the air conditioner corporation for several afternoons consecutively. The air conditioner company had an insane influx of calls, it was air conditioner service season, and finding an available air conditioner professional was close to impossible. The people I was with and I finally had an appointment booked and this week the servicemen would be visiting the school to check the central a/c. Though other students left, I chose to stay as I was finishing up some homework and my parents would not be in the condo till late so I opted to stay in school… But first, they asked about the air conditioner setup as they wanted to assume when the air conditioner install had been done! After collecting this information, they proceeded with the air conditioner care. This involved checking on components such as climate control. The digital control component was all dusty and needed to be vacuumed to keep the dust away from sensitive components. Part of the air conditioner service was to substitute the air conditioner filter to ensure that the a/c functioned optimally; but I was standing close to the servicemen for close to several minutes observing them finally working. I got to learn a lot about these air coolers, ventilation, and A/C units and how they work and how to actually maintain them.
