When the Heating and Air Conditioning specialist stopped by last week, I was already prepared for him to explain how I needed a new furnace, but i had been having service after service made for the last seven years, and I didn’t suppose the furnace could handle very much more of them. I knew our wallet couldn’t handle anymore repairs. I wasn’t sure our wallet could even handle the cost of a newer furnace either, however if I had to purchase a new one, I would find the cash. It wasn’t even that cash was the issue with getting the new furnace, the issue was that I would not get another furnace to appreciate the heater I had. This furnace had served me well for the last twenty-plus years. I enjoyed the heat it gave me, and I liked how quietly it ran. The only thing I didn’t see was how much cash it was costing me in repairs for the last several years. I’m pretty sure all that cash could have gone for a down-payment on a new furnace, and covered a hefty chunk of the cost… My spouse Bob told me the two of us had to bite bullet and put out the cash, however I intended to find the perfect furnace for our home. I wanted energy efficiency, and I wanted a furnace that would be quiet. I’m not sure I honestly knew what I wanted other than that, however it has to be as trustworthy as our old furnace, and I wasn’t sure that was possible. I’m going to leave the final decision on the furnace to Bob, and he consistently has a fantastic head for making expensive purchases.
