Moving from north to south, where air conditioners are key

When it came to the promotion plus the new position, I declined it at first.

The bosses thought I was playing hardball, so they upped their initial offer.

They needed myself and others in the new location, so they made myself and others an offer I couldn’t refuse, however not only was the pay bump giant , however they would provide myself and others a signing bonus, plus pay for all our moving expenses. I would have been a fool to turn down that much currency, so I accepted the task plus moved into the Deep South. Keep in mind that our aged beach house didn’t even have a working air conditioner, however it was so rarely needed. There were 1 or 2 weeks a year, in the heart of summer, when an air conditioner would have been helpful. However, the cost of buying an cooling system was too high for something I wouldn’t use truly often. In our new beach house down south things are truly different, plus I have run the air conditioner every single day since I moved here. Thankfully the new position pays enough that I don’t have to stress about it, I can afford the utility bills, plus the regular HVAC service I need to ensure the plan keeps running. I don’t think if I will ever be able to fully adjust to the heat plus humidity, however at least I think that our beach house will have perfect climate control. That said, if I had to live here plus didn’t have access to a/c I am sure it would be truly strenuous to survive.
