When it came to the promotion and the new position, I declined it at first. The bosses thought I was playing hardball, so they upped their initial offer. They needed myself and others in the new location, so they made myself and others an offer I couldn’t refuse, but not only was the spend my savings bump big, but they would supply myself and others a signing bonus, and spend my savings for all my moving expenses. I would have been a fool to turn down that much currency, so I accepted the task and moved into the Deep South, keep in mind that my outdated apartment didn’t even have a working air conditioning system, but it was so rarely needed. There were one or numerous weeks a year, in the heart of summer, when an air conditioning system would have been helpful. However, the cost of buying an air conditioning system was too high for something I wouldn’t use easily often. In my new apartment down south things are easily different, and I have run the air conditioning system every single day since I moved here. Thankfully the new position pays enough that I don’t have to stress about it, I can afford the utility bills, and the correct Heating and A/C service I need to ensure the idea keeps running. I don’t believe if I will ever be able to fully adjust to the heat and humidity, but at least I believe that my apartment will have perfect temperature control. That said, if I had to live here and didn’t have access to air conditioning I am sure it would be easily difficult to survive.
