Not a big deal

I have been having an issue with my thermostat.

It is actually a smart thermostat so it is ran on regular batteries and mounted on the wall.

The issue is that the mounting wasn’t right when the local heating and air conditioning company had their heat and a/c specialist come out to install the smart thermostat. It keeps falling on the ground right off the wall! Good thing that doesn’t affect the heating or the air conditioning! Rather than call them and complain and have to wait for another heat and a/c appointment just to get it done right, I decided this was no big deal and it was something I could fix on my own. I simply mounted or remounted it myself! I had the tools and it was no different than mounting anything else on the wall. I was easily able to have it back on the wall and staying there in less than 15 minutes once I got everything together. I just could not believe that the HVAC specialist didn’t catch the bad mounting. Guess it could happen to anyone I suppose. I probably would have been fooled too. Because the smart thermostat did look fine when he left and it stayed mounted for several weeks before the issues began. So can’t hold it against the heating and air conditioning company. I fixed it myself, so all is now well and life moves on. I know now in the future that mounting a smart thermostat takes a little more than just a few screws. So I learned something out of this as well.
