There is something about the sewer system that scares the living daylights out of me.

One mishap with the pipes and you could end up with a thousand dollar bill just for excavation. You then pay to the sewer line repaired, and then you get the lawn repaired. I cringed last week when I smelled an odor of sewage in my backyard. There was a damp spot right where the sewage system was. I sent my wife into the house and asked her to go online and find someone who could do a sewer line repair. After almost an hour, she found a plumber who would do the sewer line repair that same afternoon. He brought over his own backhoe, and I knew this was going to be an expensive repair. I couldn’t tell him to go away because the sewer line repair had to be done, but I was hesitant about paying such an enormous fee. He had to excavate the area and then get the lid off the sewage tank. The honey dipper was there to clean out the sewer, and then they had to find the break in the sewer line. Unfortunately, they had to come back the next day and complete the sewer line repair, but there wasn’t anything I could do about it. The job was started, and all I could hope was that I didn’t need to take out a loan to pay for the sewer line repair. I had a gut feeling this was going to be a really expensive job, and I wasn’t looking forward to getting the bill.

I am always really happy when I discover that my church is going to become involved in another project that will greatly help people.

For this reason I am happy with my church’s involvement in the affordable tiny homes community that is being planned for my area. We, in this state, have a real affordable housing problem. Not only that, if you can help a low-income person or a formerly homeless person by putting them into an affordable tiny homes Community, you are providing that person with an asset rather than a liability. I loved doing sports when I was a kid, especially playing soccer and roller hockey at the town sports complex which was a few miles from my family home.

I took it for granted back then that I was in shape and had little to no struggle playing with my friends and excelling in athletics at school.

When I was injured in college, things took a drastic turn. I was off my feet for a few weeks and put on a lot of weight. This had a domino effect because being heavier made me even less likely to exercise, as it made the act of exercising even harder than before. Soon my weight got even worse, and now I’m at least 60 pounds overweight. I guess my BMI qualifies as “obese,” but I just look “fat” if you saw me with your own eyes. Still, having extra weight on your body isn’t something to scorn or shame because of what it looks like, which is sadly what many people do. Instead, it should be seen as an opportunity to make one’s health improve to live longer and feel better in the process. If your health is lacking, you’re not going to feel good physically on a day by day basis. Instead, you’re going to feel tired and depressed just from the lack of exercise and the constant sedentary behavior. That’s why I eventually opted for a gym membership to get this weight off my body. And since gyms are trying to encourage people to join this far after the pandemic, you can often get a membership discount at a great local fitness center. This is what I opted for, as some of the chain gyms don’t offer the same exact amenities that you can find at a local business.

I have always thought that raw honey was expensive.

And though I understand the reason for the cost, it was something that I was always aware of.

The price did not prevent me from purchasing the honey because I know that honey has some great health benefits. It is an antibacterial agent, it’s rich in antioxidants, may improve heart health, may help with the symptoms of a cold, and so much more. So, of course, it is beneficial to purchase honey just for the benefits alone. Even though I believe the raw honey that I purchase from the farmer’s market is expensive, there is another honey on the market that is three times or more expensive than the honey that I buy on a regular basis. This honey comes from another country, and it has higher levels of antibacterial, antimicrobial, and antioxidant properties than the local honey that I buy. Plus, this honey is rare and accounts for 1% of the honey produced each year. Additionally, it can only be found in this one area of the world. Also, the honey is very difficult to harvest because there is only a 2 to 6 week window where the plant that it is harvested from blooms. So, with all these benefits as well as difficulty in producing this honey, it makes sense that it is the most expensive honey on the market. Personally, I won’t be purchasing that honey any time soon, but I will spend the extra money to purchase raw locally grown honey at my neighborhood farmer’s market.

When we bought our home, we knew it was a fixer-upper, but we weren’t aware of exactly how much fixing it needed.

When the general contractor came into the house, he winced, and then he asked how much we paid for it. He said if we paid more than $10,000; they ripped us off. I refused to tell them the price of the house, thinking he may charge us extra for the remodelling. I knew we needed window replacement, door replacement, insulation, and new flooring. The general contractor told us we would probably need to gut the house before doing all that work, and as much as I hated to admit it, he was right. The house was a complete mess, and a lot needed to be done. The window replacements were going to be worse than I expected. The original windows were in all sizes, and it was going to cost more to have special sizes made than to buy window replacements and resize the window holes. Once the window replacements were installed, I couldn’t believe the difference in the house’s outside. My wife and I were now eager to see what it was going to look like with the new siding. Suddenly, we were getting excited to move into our home, thanks to the general contractor. Our house was turning into a proper home, and we told the general contractor we needed to move in even more quickly. We wanted to be in before the holidays, and we still had to buy the furniture. All we had to do was measure how big a sofa we could buy,
