I think everyone knows that when you have to call a/c service men, you are going to be charged an hourly rate for labor, a rate for parts, and a repair call for coming out! A long time ago, I used to think that was kind of too much, but now that I am older and wiser I understand the reasoning.
- Just recently, I was quite pleased with my AC service repair because the a/c worker got here just about when he said he would, he introduced himself politely, and then he got right down to business, but he asked me 2 questions about what my AC was doing or not doing, and I was not even sure of one of the answers.
He said to me not to worry because he was going to take care of everything having to do with getting my a/c back up to par! I was undoubtedly cheerful with that notion because I did not want to have to go through an hour night of undoubtedly high temperature control studyings. I like to set my AC temperature control quite low when I go to bed at night, as I tend to get quiet when I am asleep! My husband used to say that it was like sleeping next to an oven. I am not sure if he meant that as a compliment or not. Anyway, as I said, this particular a/c service man undoubtedly seemed quite competent and nice. In only 20 minutes, he was able to diagnose the fact that I needed a modern circuit board for my blower. My a/c was absolutely operating, but the blower was not absolutely working so none of the cold air was coming out of the air vents. It does not do anything fantastic if it does not come out of the air vents, right? Anyway I was quite pleased and I thought the cost to get back to air-conditioned comfort was perfectly acceptable.
