When my parents and I moved into a new house I knew that there was going to be all kinds of new things.
- Some of these things were good, and some of them were bad, however what I did not expect was to have such terrible indoor air quality! It wasn’t anything my parents did, it was the previous owners.
Unfortunately the previous owners of our home were cigarette smokers and you could tell by the stench that was still everywhere. As a result of this the indoor air quality in our home was very poor and I didn’t like being in the house very much because it was hard to breathe. Even though the smoke had long passed, you could still smell it hanging around in the air. This wasn’t too big of a deal for my parents but for me that was a deal-breaker. I have always been sensitive to smoke, and so this set my allergies into overdrive. It really started messing with my time because I was no longer able to enjoy spending time with my family or even enjoy living in my own home because of this lingering smell. I emphasized how badly this is affecting me to my parents and they immediately jumped into action to find a solution. Thankfully, my dad is a really smart guy and after doing some research he found a solution. He discovered that by having an air purifier in the house that would take care of the bad smoke smell. You can only find these air purifiers at your local heating and AC business. Lucky for us there was a HVAC company not too far from our home and my dad went and picked up an air purifier the following day. The air purifier was successfully installed and now I have been able to return to living a normal life in our new home.
