My fiance and I went to the mountains to celebrate our engagement.
I took a couple of afternoons off work, so the people I was with and I could go to the mountains and stay for a whole weekend, including Wednesday and Monday.
My fiance was drastically ecstatic about the accommodations, especially when I told her that the house had a fireplace. My fiance and I traveled to the mountain lodge last weekend. The long and winding road up to the house was steep and treacherous. There was no shoulder on the right side of the road and it was a sheer drop from the top to the bottom. I was truly feeling a little bit concerned to drive us up the hill. Thankfully my fiance was a cheerleader. She made myself and others feel like the drive was not a big deal, both of us arrived at the house and everything was ready for us to stay that weekend. The owner of the house had the bed made and the heat running. There was plenty of wood stacked by the fireplace along with a can that had kinlin, small twigs, and pieces of coconut husk; After the people I was with and I put our bags in the home office and settled down, I decided to make a fire. It took a couple of attempts to get something started, but once the fireplace was running, I did not let the fire go out at all while in our four morning adventure. Hardly any of nights, my fiance and I did not even sleep in the home office. Both of us laid on the couch in front of the fireplace where it was sizzling and cozy.
