The heating system in the office where I work is really not that great. The owner of the company told us before we left for our holiday break that he was going to have the commercial HVAC company come and take a look at it, but now that we are back at work I don’t really think that he did anything about it at all. I think that he probably told all of the employees there that he was going to have the ventilation system cleaned while we were gone. But I don’t really think that he went through with it at all. It would have cost him a lot of money, after all. The indoor air quality in our building has never really been all that great, to be honest with you. It’s like we are constantly having trouble with either the air conditioning system or the ventilation system or the heating. Not only that, but for some reason, the thermostat settings just go up and down all the time at random. It’s really annoying and I know that the owner of the building realizes this. Employees here complain about it literally all the time, and some of those complaints definitely get back to him. I don’t know why he would lie about getting the ductwork cleaned out and the commercial HVAC company coming to do some upgrades, though. Maybe he just thought that we wouldn’t need proof of it, like better air quality and better working conditions. I guess that just goes to show you how smart he thinks we all are.
