I was getting ready to leave the house and head to my hair appointment.
But, my toddler wasn’t having any of it.
She wanted me to be the one to fix her breakfast and not her dad. However, this was mummy’s day, and nothing was going to change that. I tried to soothe him, but he kept screaming at the top of his lungs that he wanted me to stay. I guess it’s because I am home with him for most of the time. Still, it’s important for me to have time alone to do my hair, then nails, and have lunch with my friends. His dad picked him from my arms kicking and screaming and I managed to get out of the door. When I arrived at the salon, I realized there was something wrong with their air conditioner. The salon wasn’t as cool as before even though they had a portable AC working in a corner. I spoke to one lady and she said that their air conditioner had failed that morning. Their boss had called the HVAC company to book a repair appointment, but the HVAC technician was yet to arrive. So, she saw it best to arrange for a portable AC to run in the salon and at least keep the space comfortable. I didn’t mind having my hair done even with the poor AC in the room. The portable AC at least made sure we weren’t sweaty and muggy in the salon. About an hour into my appointment, the AC came back on. The owner came out to apologize to the customers and explained that the issue with the air conditioner was fixed.
