I am not someone who is very smart when it comes to anything related to heating and cooling systems or thermostats. As crazy as this sounds, the last time my smart thermostat wasn’t working right I actually called the local heating and air conditioning company to send out a certified heat and a/c specialist on an HVAC appointment to repair my smart thermostat. It ended up costing me a few hundred dollars. I know what you are thinking. You are probably thinking I could have just bought a new smart thermostat for 40 bucks and been done with it and saved money. But the reason I didn’t do that is because I would have had to call the local heat and a/c company to send out another heating and air conditioning specialist to install the brand new smart thermostat I would buy. So this actually saved me a little bit of money by having them repair the current smart thermostat through an HVAC home services call. The heat and a/c specialist was pretty much in and out within less than a half hour. I guess that was how easy it was to repair the smart thermostat. I know the heating and cooling specialist probably thought I was some fool for paying a few hundred dollars to have him do whatever he did to fix it. It was probably something I could have done myself had I known anything about smart thermostats and heat and a/c units! But oh well, it doesn’t bother me. I like a stress free life when it comes to things like this!
