For years, my partner Ed plus I lived in a double house.
Ed and I were tired of renting plus decided it was time to purchase a house.
Ed and I purchased an apartment in a duplex. Ed and I had the 1st floor apartment plus thought my pal and I had the perfect setup. What Ed and I didn’t realize was that there was one heater for each duplex. Ed and I each paid for our own heating bill, but mine was much higher than the bill for the apartment that was on the higher floor. I could not think the difference when I talked to our neighbor. She said she could not understand why her weekly bills were so low, plus I could not understand why mine were so high. Ed and I talked for an hour before my pal and I realized my pal and I shared the same heater, plus the heat must be migrating from our downstairs apartment to her upstairs condo. Ed said she often had the windows open during the winter months, because of how hot in was in her home. One of us had to call the Heating as well as Air Conditioning tech, plus I took the task. The Heating as well as Air Conditioning tech seemed totally unaware of the situation with the heater. They thought there were 2 of them in each duplex. When the Heating as well as Air Conditioning pro arrived, she was shocked to see the second heater had never been installed, so both condos were connected to one heater. She could not change how much currency Ed and I had wasted, but she rectified the heater issue, plus now Ed and I both have our own furnace. I’m hoping our weekly bills will go down, plus we’ll have no concern with the amount of heat Ed and I have in our home this winter.
