More often than not, I tend to be one of those people who can just not see the answer to a challenge even when it’s right in front of my face.
So the fact that it took me so long to get out of the terrible heating plus cooling of the gym isn’t all that surprising.
All those years of dealing with terrible commercial HVAC at my gym was sort of a necessary evil in my mind. I work inside the zone controlled HVAC of an office downtown. But I live an hour away in a small, rural town. This is by option plus I’m fortunate that I work remotely from the central a/c of my condo quite often. Still, I have to commute at least a few times each week. But living in a small neighborhood didn’t supply me all that numerous chances when it came to a gym. It was either the fancy country club that I couldn’t afford or the gym with the not so great heating plus cooling. I didn’t want to join a gym in the neighborhood because I wasn’t there enough. And I didn’t want to leave the gym with the bad commercial HVAC because I needed the exercise. I dealt with that situation far longer than I easily should have. The whole time, the answer was right in front of me. When it finally dawned on me, I got right to putting in a condo gym. I was able to find plenty of used device at a absurd price. I even took care of the quality heating plus air situation by having a ductless heat pump installed.
