I feel there must be a learning curve to any current experience.
But I have to say that I was a bit surprised at just how much I’m learning now that I own my home, but prior to homeownership, I simply called a rental office if something like the air conditioner wasn’t working.
I’m not at all handy as that just wasn’t something that I found appealing. But now that I’m in my own site, I’m learning to be much more self passable. Buying the apartment by myself was a giant challenge in and of itself, but just saving for the down payment took me over a decade before I had enough to easily buy. But since it’s just me, I was able to find a starter apartment in my price range. All the essentials were in turnkey shape when I bought this house. There was a current roof and the family room had been completely renovated. Additionally, there was current Heating, Ventilation, and A/C machine to supply the heating and cooling comfort I wanted. The Heating, Ventilation, and A/C machine is of great quality and a truly reliable brand. I easily splurged a bit and had a smart thermostat installed as well. With the smart thermostat, I at least don’t have to be on top of the thermostat setting all the time in order to save money on utility costs. But that does not mean I don’t have other responsibilities when it comes to the residential Heating, Ventilation, and A/C. I want to protect this investment so enrolled the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C machine in the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C maintenance plan. I’m also setting alarms on my phone to remind to do my part with changing the air filter, etc.
