Since we live apart, I have been delaying moving in with my long-distance partner for about two years.

She continues to ask, and I keep declining his advances. I made a promise to myself that I would never live with anyone else after my divorce and I never wanted to. But I also never imagined meeting someone who would be like my longtime partner Dave. She was different from every other boy I had ever met. He was easy to talk to, and she seemed to get it. My ex seemed more foreign to me than anyone else there toward the end of our marriage, no other woman I’ve ever been with has ever been that way. My current girlfriend is a particularly lovely lady. Now that I’ve made up my mind to do it, I think she’ll be great to live with. She finds it amusing that she was able to convince me to move in with him in the end because of my broken HVAC system. I was so enraged when it stopped working that I made the decision not to pay to have it fixed. I made the decision to sell my entire apartment instead! I then informed my wife that I would in fact be accompanying him to the apartment. She claimed that she didn’t care why I promised to do it, she was just happy that I would! I was aware that she had recently installed a high-efficiency heating and cooling system in her home. She also has a whole-home media air cleaner addition to that. I believe that, in the end, living with him will be wonderful.

Then she inquired as to whether I had any teenage boys residing in my home. That made me laugh because my three teenage boys, who share my apartment with me, are entirely to blame for the smells that permeate it. They all participate in sports and have tepid bodies, muddy, stinky cleats, piles of stinky socks, and tepid clothing and jerseys. It makes sense why my apartment smells bad. The issue is that whenever the heating and cooling system is operating, the apartment’s indoor air quality deteriorates. It’s gotten to the point where I dread hearing the boiler or cooling system turn on in the afternoon or when I’m trying to fall asleep because I know the entire apartment is going to start smelling bad soon! Anyway, because of the smell, I have been buying a ton of candles, air fresheners, and cleaning sprays. I feel like I’ve been blowing a small fortune on things like that. This place will smell a million times better once I install the whole home media air cleaner and a nice fresh HEPA air filter! I’m glad you were able to find a solution to the persistent odor issue in your apartment and will now be able to save money on air fresheners and other odor-eliminating products.

I get really bad headaches in the summer without an air conditioner.

• When the weather starts to get warm, I always know it’s time to turn on the air conditioner once more.

If, however, I don’t have a cooling system that is regularly operating, I am aware that I will be in serious trouble very quickly. I simply cannot function without the air conditioner, and it is one of those things that is not just a luxury for me. For the duration of the summer, I must always have it. Some people claim that I am just spoiled because I dislike being in locations without a cooling system, but I don’t think that is the case at all. I advise letting them experience the same headaches I do when there is no air conditioning so they will understand how I feel. Although I would prefer to be tepid rather than cold at this point, the situation is what it is. Although I’m not sure for sure, I believe that it is entirely related to my hormones. What I do know is that I need to make an appointment for an air conditioner tune-up with the nearby heating and cooling company by giving them a call. There will be a problem in the coming weeks if I don’t have a functioning air conditioner! When I have a headache, I am definitely not nice! Even if it means relying on an air conditioner in the summer, it’s critical for me to put my health and well-being first. Having a cool, comfortable environment is essential for me in order to take care of myself and be able to perform at my best.

But then again, I don’t want to get all crazy with the air conditioning either.

Where we live, we are still in the midst of a beautiful Spring. The gas furnace is hardly ever coming on even late at night now. The temperatures are steadily rising and that makes me happy. For sure, the Winter weather is the main bugaboo when it comes to HVAC comfort. I do my best to keep a rein on the thermostat setting during the Winter. But that really wasn’t enough as the heating costs just kept getting steeper and steeper with every Winter. So I finally took the HVAC technicians advice and went online to the HVAC company’s website. It was there that I found everything that I needed to know when it came to prepping the house with an eye toward lowering the heating bills. But I’m not a very handy sort of person. Yes, I can change a light bulb and even the air filter for the HVAC equipment. But I was afraid that prepping the house for Winter might be more than my abilities could address. Happily, I was wrong because all I had to do was follow the blueprint provided by the HVAC professionals. And it really didn’t take me all that long to accomplish the task. I was done prepping the house before the HVAC professionals even came out to do the heating maintenance. Last week, I finally added it all up and we saved more than 20 percent over the entire Winter when it comes to heating costs. So maybe, I’ll be a little more free with the air conditioning come July and August.

So it appears that I won’t be alone for my weekends at the lake this Summer.

This comes after I surprised my family with loads of renovations to our place at the lake.

This is a place that I bought about five years ago for our family. When I was a kid, I loved getting out of the central air conditioning of our house to go to the hunting cabin my dad had. It wasn’t much but it was way out in the woods where I was surrounded by all that natural beauty. I learned early on that getting out into nature is a surefire way of helping me find the balance that I need in life. Like many people, I spend more hours than I want to inside the commercial HVAC of an office. I’m not into going to the bar or hanging out on a golf course with the guys all weekend. At the same time, I’m so not into just staying at home inside the air conditioning while my kids do their online gaming thing all weekend. My wife is also tough to get out of the air conditioning. With the lake house, I was hoping to change all of that. But this spot is very secluded and the house is dated. There wasn’t any internet, cable TV or residential HVAC. And that ended up with me being the only one who ever wanted to get up there. So I spent the Winter and the Spring working on the lake house. I had the HVAC professionals outfit the place with ductless heat pumps. So now, there will be air conditioning along with new furnishings and satellite wi-fi. Sounds like the kids are already excited.
